Desiree de la Torre, MPH, MBA, Stakeholder Engagement Core member, is the Executive Director of Community and Government Affairs at the Child Health Advocacy Institute (CHAI) at Children’s National Hospital. CHAI operationalizes its mission to advance health equity for all children through four focus areas: community engagement, data, education and policy. de la Torre leads initiatives aligning community health improvement and advocacy. She is responsible for the development of new models of care that improve health equity and impact the social drivers of health. This includes multi-sector collaborations with community organizations, schools, government agencies and payors.
