Joyce Harrison, MD, FAAP, FAACP
Dr. Harrison is a child psychiatrist and Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Harvard University and medical degree from Dartmouth. She trained in pediatrics at Tufts University, adult psychiatry at the University of Maryland and child psychiatry at Johns Hopkins. Her areas of interest are infant and preschool mental health, integrated mental health and primary care, and trauma. In 2016, she and her partner Dr. Mary Leppert established Kennedy Krieger’s Network for Early Childhood Tele-education. They conduct teleconferences using the ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) model regionally, nationally and internationally. She is immediate past president of the Maryland-DC Infant Mental Health Association, immediate past co-chair of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Infant and Preschool Committee and an executive member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Council on Healthy Mental and Emotional Development.
