Christy Crockett, MD
Dr. Christy Crockett is currently an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and a Pediatric Anesthesiologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her medical doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed anesthesiology residency training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, and completed pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2014. Dr. Crockett has additionally trained in quality improvement science and obtained a certification from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center’s Intermediate Improvement Science Series. She has been the leader and author of several published articles and quality improvement research initiatives. Her research and interests include quality improvement research, distractions and noises in the operating room, and global health. She is the Chair of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesiology’s Quality and Safety Committee’s Taskforce on Noise in the Operating Room.
