Julie Williamson, DO, FAAP completed her residency in general pediatrics at the University of Maryland in 2003. Initially intent on becoming an intensivist, Dr. Williamson was captured by the acuity and immediacy of anesthesia care and continued to a residency in anesthesiology in 2006 and then the combined fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia and Critical Care in 2008 at the Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Williamson practices pediatric anesthesiology at Stanford’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, with a clinical emphasis on the perioperative care of complex and critically ill children.
She is a committed medical educator who previously served as the Anesthesiology program director for the Emory School of Medicine. In 2021 Dr. Williamson returned to Stanford and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital to continue developing the perioperative care of complex pediatric surgical patients. She serves as the Clinical Competency Chair for the Department of Anesthesiology and co-directs the Pathophysiology Course for the Stanford School of Medicine.
